Training & Consultancy
Empower your team with bespoke training which centres emotional safety, inclusion and mental health
Drawing on lived experience and a unique insight, I help you create authentic, caring workplaces where diverse voices thrive and sustainable growth happens.
This is leadership and culture-building designed for real change, tailored to your needs.
Why I deliver training
I've spent much of my life, both personally and professionally, feeling uncomfortable or excluded in various spaces.
My practice grew from a mental health crisis and a deep need to create more inclusive, emotionally safer environments. Over time, I developed an approach that centres emotional safety as a framework - not just in how I plan and deliver work, but also in how I adapt in the moment, in live studio, and performance, contexts.
This approach has been woven throughout everything I do: teaching, making, performing, facilitating, coaching, and mentoring. As my practice has evolved, it's naturally expanded into consultancy and training. I share insights from my lived experience, professional career, and independent research to support others in developing more kind, responsive and flexible ways of working.
My training and consultancy work is rooted in a desire to encourage action and change towards spaces and relationships that are honest, transparent and able to meet the psychological, emotional and experiential needs of the people within them. I’m interested in what we see and don’t see, what we say and don’t say, and how we can collectively create cultures of care which acknowledge the multiple identities we all carry.
My Creative Consultancy Biography
Over the past 10 years, I’ve developed and delivered training workshops rooted in the question: How do we safeguard the artist within creative practice?
These sessions explore personal storytelling, emotional needs, stress, coping mechanisms and creating individual wellbeing plans. This work has developed into leadership training opportunities through creative consultancy, training workshops and executive coaching and mentoring.
A core element includes the popular workshop on Check-ins and Check-outs, as well as training around mental health access riders and neurodiversity-informed approaches. This work has been shared with companies such as Protein Dance, Wired Aerial Theatre, Gravity & Levity (including the Dissecting Aerial festival), Fallen Angels, New Note Orchestra (Brighton’s recovery orchestra) and Talent Accelerator (East Sussex creative careers).
Training has also been delivered through national dance organisations including DanceEast, South East Dance, and FABRIC, as well as to staff and students at Rambert School, Central School of Ballet, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, London Contemporary Dance School, and undergraduates at Edge Hill, Roehampton, Chichester, and Bath Spa Universities. My coaching experience has covered cultural leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, teachers and NHS senior management.
Your Investment, Articulated
When you reach out, I’m here to listen - fully; openly; without assumptions.
This consultancy is bespoke: shaped around what you need, in a way that works for you. It’s not off-the-shelf; it’s co-created.
This is more than a service - it’s a future-facing investment in mental health, access and inclusion. We’re working towards a reality that doesn’t yet fully exist: spaces which are truly mental-health friendly and mentally health-aware.
I make time and space for people to share. That’s a core part of the work. This time, this space, and the care I bring to holding it: that is the investment, and it’s one which supports deep, sustainable growth for both you and your team.
This is leadership which centres emotional and mental wellbeing - for yourself, your collaborators and your wider community.
A linear pathway through intersecting themes
This isn’t a lecture - it’s a conversation.
My training sessions draw on my lived experience as a person and professional dancer to spark shared dialogue, reflection and action.
Together, we explore, question, and problem-solve. With my story as a starting point, we move into universal experiences which apply to your setting in order to inspire clear actions for meaningful change.
